Fantasy Fox Maps
As an indie author myself, I know the costs of self-publishing can add up quickly. But that doesn't mean you can't have a beautiful map of the world you created. Get a map printed in your book, hang it on your wall, or use it to mop up a coffee spill. Whatever the case, I'm here to help!
Please note I specialize in landscape-based maps for fantasy/romantasy books. All other genres will be automatically priced as Custom, though you can still choose from the Build-Your-Own options if you'd like. If you would like something other than landscapes (i.e. streets, buildings, castles, etc.), that will automatically be considered Custom as well.
Map options: Mini, Build-Your-Own, or Custom in ink and/or watercolor

How it works
Step 1. Pick your map
Choose from 3 options: Mini Map, Build-Your-Own, or Custom. All maps can be formatted to fit your book's trim size. Click on photos of the maps above to view size options. Ink and watercolor available.
Step 2. Pay Now or Email
- Purchase your commission slot and get started within a few days
OR
- Email fantasyfoxmaps@gmail.com to be added to the list if you'd like to book a start date weeks or months in advance
Step 3. Send information to the artist
- If you purchase a map, the artist will reach out to you within 1-3 business days to request further information needed to create your map i.e. town names, compass art style, font choice, etc.
- If you book a commission further out, you will receive a confirmation email with your booking date listed. The next email you receive will be on your booking date where the artist will request information needed for your map i.e. town names, compass art style, font choice, etc. Your booking date is your start date.
What happens when the artist begins?
Step 4. Initial sketch
You will receive Sketch #1. This is a simple pencil sketch meant to confirm placement of landmasses, buildings, mountain ranges, etc. It is not detailed and things can be easily moved around or deleted at this stage.
Step 5. Second sketch
Once you confirm that the initial sketch is good to go, the artist will send Sketch #2. #2 is slightly more detailed and contains samples of fonts, border design, color confirmation (watercolor ONLY), etc. Things can be easily moved around or deleted at this stage.
Step 6. Third sketch
Once everything is confirmed in Sketch #2, the artist will send one final sketch, Sketch 3. Typically only small changes are needed at this stage.
Step 7. Final sketch
Once Sketch #3 is approved, no further changes are allowed. The artist will begin creating your final map.
Step 8. Receive your map!
You will receive a digital copy of your map in PNG and PDF form. See the Frequently Asked Questions section for more details on these images.
*The physical map is available for an additional fee: $15 USD for domestic shipping and $25 USD for international. Ships in hard packing tube and in a plastic sleeve for protection.
